(The call is closed) Research assistantship/MSc Thesis Position is open in Plant Biotechnology Division, National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB), Savar, Dhaka-1349 (1.11.2019)

Research assistant/ MSc thesis student positions are available at the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB), Savar, Dhaka-1349 under the supervision of Dr. Iftekhar Alam. The position is for several ongoing research projects including metabolic engineering for beta carotene biosynthesis, DNA markers, and molecular plant-microbe interaction.

 

Required profile 

  1. BSc (and preferably MSc) in Biology/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Genetics/ Agriculture or relevant subject
  2. Strong interest in plant biology
  3. English Proficiency in reading and understanding of scientific articles
  4. Passion for science and the motivation to work independently as well as a part of a team

Foreign nationals are also eligible to apply. Some amount of financial support may be provided depending on fund availability.
