NIBicps 2020
National Institute of Biotechnology proudly announces the “1st International Conference on Plant Science (NIBicps 2020)” that has been programmed on 1-2 February, 2020 in its campus located at Ganabari, Ashulai, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Innovation in plant science is the key to our survival through food and non-food applications. Increased demand for plant products, higher quality standards and, rapid and irreversible global climate change drive scientist to develop next generation crop and non crop plants with improved traits. New technology such as genetic engineering, in vitro techniques, marker-based selection, innovative uses of microbes and various assisted cultivation techniques are the key to future survival of mankind. By working together, we need to balance the ecology of our planet in a sustainable way for every living creature. We believe the participation of eminent national and international scientists, professionals and students will make this scientific event a successful platform to build a stronger network and provide incredible opportunities for everyone to contribute in their own way.
NIBicps2020 focuses on addressing the latest scientific developments in plant biology. The main agenda includes genetic engineering and in vitro approaches for crop and plant improvement. As an emerging technique, a special hands on workshop on metagenomics using real sample will be organized. Topics also include the possible application of metagenomics in plant and environmental sciences as well as plant microbe interaction. We welcome original scientific studies from various aspects of plant science. All abstracts/proposal for talks/posters will be subjected to a quick review. Participation of young scientists are especially encouraged with a networking opportunity. We warmly invite plant biologists from all over the world to contribute to a vibrant and successful conference by presenting and discussing their work in Dhaka.

The Program
Day 1, Scientific Talks: Biotechnology for the improvement of crop and non crop plants. The discussion will mainly (but not limited to) focus on application of transgenic technology, genomics and in vitro techniques.
Day 2, Metagenomics workshop and plant microbe interaction: This session will mainly focus on molecular plant microbe interaction and various tools to detect them. As an emerging technique, a special hands on workshop on metagenomics using real sample will be organized. Topics also include the possible application of metagenomics in plant and environmental sciences.
The detailed program will be announced shortly.
Poster session
There will be a poster session on both conference days alongside with other activities. All posters will be considered for the poster competition. Followed by an evaluated the best 3 posters will be awarded with a prize. Your poster should include: a statement of the problem, research objectives, methodologies applied to solve the problem, major findings and a take-home message (conclusions). Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing the posters. We will provide the mounting materials. Poster should be 30 inch in height and 20 inch on width.
Speakers
Renowned scientists from home and abroad will be presenting their latest research in the event. Confirmed speakers are listed bellow. We are updating the list continuously.
