We are proud to announce that we are now officially participating in the Asian Herbs in Space (AHiS) initiative, we are confident that this would inspire brilliant young minds of our country to develop a strong interest in space biology. As a part of this project, NIB has sent coriander seeds to space. After travelling for months, these seeds have been brought back to earth and further physiological, biochemical, and molecular analyses will be performed on them at NIB. Yesterday, Architect Yeafesh Osman, Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh visited NIB to take part in the Space-travelled Coriander Seed Receiving Event and helped plant these seeds. We are immensely grateful to host our minister in this momentous ceremony.
