A seminar titled ‘Putting Biosafety into Practice in Bangladesh’ was held at the National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB) on 21 March 2022 as a team from the South Asia Biosafety Program (SABP) visited the premises. Dr Andrew F. Roberts, CEO of Agriculture and Food Systems Institute, USA; Bhavneet Bajaj, Manager, Scientific Program, Agriculture and Food Systems Institute, USA; Dr Rakha Hari Sarker, Professor, Dept. of Botany, University of Dhaka and Country Coordinator, SABP; Sium Ahmed, Biosafety Officer, SABP and the honourable Director General of NIB Dr Md. Salimullah was present at the seminar.
